The webcam company BongaCams leaps into the much-hyped crypto market around NFTs. The company’s own collection will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the cam company.
The crypto market has long ceased to be just bitcoin, altcoins, speculative fun currencies like dogecoins and leveraged tokens. Currently, NFTs are the big hype in the industry.
The first NFT collection that BongaCams plans to offer will consist of 10,000 unique images of female characters and will be offered under the name BongaNFT.
Starting January 20, the NFTs will be offered at a fixed price of 0.15 ETH. Currently, this is equivalent to about 480-500 euros.
(Generally, an e-wallet containing ETH funds is required to purchase NFTs).
Owners of BongaNFTs automatically become participants in the decentralized BongaNFT community and can have a say in how the project is developed. Thus, the cam company is embarking on a small adventure that could become very lucrative given the right circumstances.
BongaCams has been on the market since 2012 and has become one of the leading providers in the webcam business. With over 110 million customers, over 50 million daily visitors and over 1 million models from all over the world, the company is well positioned to make its foray into the crypto market.
With its NFT offering, BongaCams is the first cam company to venture into the hip but highly volatile field. A spokesperson for the company says, »Not only does this collection have a material and cultural value, but it also symbolizes history – a long, 10-year history of the BongaCams brand evolution.«
