Playboy terminates collaboration with Mia Khalifa

Lebanese-born porn actress Mia Khalifa was dropped by Playboy after she posted a series of tweets supporting Hamas attacks on Israel, Fox News reported. However, Khalifa emphasized that she did not advocate violence.

In an email to content creators, Playboy stated that Khalifa’s remarks, in which she celebrated Hamas attacks and the loss of innocent lives, were “disgusting and reprehensible”. The magazine emphasized its zero-tolerance policy towards hate speech and pointed out that her words and actions have consequences. As a result, Khalifa’s Playboy channel will be deleted, and her videos will be blocked on the website.

The controversy began when Khalifa expressed her support for “freedom fighters in Palestine” on Twitter and encouraged them to document the events in high-quality film footage. In a later tweet, she explained her intentions and expressed a desire to have well-documented historical accounts of Palestinians breaking free from what she referred to as an “open-air prison” and apartheid.

On that day, Hamas fighters unexpectedly launched an attack on Israel, including firing rockets at Israeli cities and storming Jewish settlements near the Gaza border. The conflict has resulted in a significant number of casualties, with hundreds of Israelis and Palestinians losing their lives.

During the weekend, Khalifa continued to release pro-Palestinian content. Some of her controversial tweets compared a photo of armed Hamas members to a Renaissance painting and also criticized those who sided with Israel, claiming they were “on the wrong side of apartheid”.

In addition to Playboy, Khalifa was also dismissed from her position as a social media consultant for Red Light Holland, a psychedelic mushroom company, due to her statements. She regretted not verifying whether the company had Zionist ties and acknowledged that her support for Palestine had cost her business opportunities.

Khalifa gained fame in 2014 as the top-ranked star on Pornhub, but left the porn industry after just three months. Since then, she has been dedicated to producing explicit content on OnlyFans, a platform where creators can monetize their work directly.
