The two Dutch wholesale companies Eropartner and EDC Wholesale will join forces and combine some of their business processes. After EDC’s purchase of the remaining online business of Beate Uhse in 2019 the new move will create one of the leading European players in the pleasure market.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Two of the biggest wholesale companies in the European pleasure market announced a joint venture. The distributors from the Netherlands have decided to combine their forces and aim \u00bbto take the industry of sexual wellness to a higher level.\u00ab<\/p>\n

While the companies plan to work together on many aspects, they stopped short of calling it a merger. In fact, they made it a point to state that both companies will continue to operate independently in their day-to-day operations. This means that their staff will not be reduced and both teams will remain at their respective headquarters.<\/p>\n

Eropartner is based in Zwaagdijk and has ca. 40 employees with a turnover of around 40 million euros. EDC is headquartered in Veendam and could double its annual turnover with the purchase of the online business of Beate Uhse, once Germany’s biggest pleasure brand. EDC reported 65 million euros in revenue in 2020 and has around 200 employees.<\/p>\n

Eric Idema is CEO of EDC. About the cooperation with Eropartner, he said: \u00bbThe demand for erotic products is growing rapidly, partly thanks to the growing group of millennials since customers\u2019 acceptance of the industry is increasing more and more. With this step, we can further expand our e-commerce platforms. We are able to supplement our range with new products, and so can Eropartner. We can share our knowledge and in this way, we can complement and strengthen each other.\u00ab<\/p>\n

Eropartner’s CEO Chris Bakker also commented on the joint venture: \u00bbWe are very excited about this joint venture. It makes perfect sense to join forces and create a synergy to become a solid partner for both our suppliers and customers. Together we are better than we are apart, we can learn a lot from EDC and vice versa. We will continue to grow and bring the industry of sexual wellness to a higher level.\u00ab<\/p>\n
