The Lips platform project has achieved its crowdfunding goal. More than 10,000 dollars have been raised for the creation of the sex-positive and crypto-friendly erotic platform. The founders want to use the money to develop an application for the desktop as well as for mobile users.
Lips sees itself as a platform that wants to stand up for the interests of women and members of the LGBTQ community. Any content can be published via the company’s services. Authentic and honest contributions and videos are to be conveyed to interested users via the platform.
The founders write: »Lips’ mission is to provide a space for women and those in the LGBTQ community to share their experiences openly and honestly, as well as a space for all humans to enjoy and support empowering and authentic content without the harmful aspects of online culture, such as harassment and unnecessary censorship.«
The project was launched on the IfundWomen crowdfunding website, which specializes in feminist projects, and reached its funding target before the campaign was over. Crowdfunders and donors get access to beta versions and discounts on premium memberships.
This year, Annie Brown, founder and CEO of Lips, plans to launch the Lips app, which will allow members to share texts, photos, gifs and memes via the platform. More information can be found here.
