The Instagram account of celebrity actor, comedian and artist Nolan Silverstein has been deleted by social media giant Instagram. Silverstein, who has become known as Porn Jesus, thus loses access to his fans and followers without any advance warning.
Porn Jesus has been one of the most colorful celebrities in the US porn scene for several years. Even though his career as an actual porn actor is rather marginal. Silverstein’s alter ego, which resembles a very attractive Jesus, acts as a living mascot and walking performance art in the industry.
The Los Angeles-based artist is a frequent guest at industry events, trade fairs and parties and for many people, it would be hard to imagine life without him. On social media, Porn Jesus has found many followers with his Instagram account, which strictly adheres to the rather rigid rules for adult content.
Silverstein informed the industry media about the deletion of his account: »”Around 1 p.m. on Friday the @sexyjesusx IG was deactivated without warning. The most recent posts were of freshly baked bread, and a photo of my face with the joke that ‘Bad Dad Jesus will buy you Cigarettes.’«
Not only the photos and impressions from the life of Porn Jesus enjoyed great popularity, but also the SexyJesus filter created by Silverstein was often used by his followers. According to Silverstein, »My IG filters have been doing really well, and I hate to see them removed right now.«
But as it befits a true Jesus, he has no hate for his opponents and foes. »I forgive whoever did this. But I would really like my social media account back.«
