Adult entertainment producer Metro inked a distribution deal with Pulse Distribution. From now on the DVD distribution of porn series like Deviant Hardcore, Family Hookups and She Will Cheat will be handled by Pulse.
The exclusive deal means that Metro will focus on content creation and basically outsource DVD distribution to the experienced distributor Pulse, one of the largest and best-known distributors of adult DVDs worldwide.
The cooperation will start with the release of two titles: »Cougars Revenge« (She Will Cheat) and »Daddy Touched Me« (Family Hookups).
Jim Kohls, founder of Pulse Distribution, said in a statement about the distribution deal: »We are very happy to have negotiated a deal with Metro; their legacy lines such as Cal-Vista, VideoTeam, Babes Illustrated and Fusxion helped pioneer this industry and demand for their content remains strong today because of their newer lines. We have always had a great relationship with Metro and this will be a good opportunity for both companies.«
Meg Leung of Metro explains that the deal will allow Metro to focus on content creation and online marketing of its contents. »The reality is that DVD continues to account for approximately 15 percent of revenue in the adult retail space. Good content still sells, and we have faith that we are putting our product in the hands of the best representation possible.«
DVDs will be available through Pulse starting April 10. Until then there might be a short period in which the titles won’t be available as DVD.
Metro will continue to distribute its own contents and the vast library of adult movies through all platforms, including through their websites, video-on-demand and broadcasting.
