The porn industry is mourning the loss of one of its stars. Shyla Stylez died at 35. A GoFundMe Campaign tries to raise funds to help pay Shyla Stylez’s hospital bills and funeral expenses.
Cause of death has not been announced yet, but James Bartholet, her publicist and manager James Bartholet confirmed her death to XBIZ. Her death echoed on social media.
Pornstar Alana Evans, currently serving as Vice President of APAG said in a Twitter statement: »At a loss for words. So sad that my old friend @MsShylaStylez has left us. You were one of the most beautiful women I’ve ever known.«
In a second message, she tweeted: »Whenever she entered a room, it didn’t matter who was around, all you saw was Shyla. Her energy and beauty consumed you instantly. And just like Marilyn, she has left us too early.«
Stylez was born in 1982, in Armstrong, B.C., Canada. In 2000 she came to Porn Valley and met Erik Everhard. In the following years, she worked for Anabolic Productions. Later on, she signed a contract with Jill Kelly Productions. In 2002 she married JKP’s CEO Bob Friedland, the marriage was short though and ended in divorce in 2003. She made a short hiatus but continued to work in the industry from 2006 until last year.
Tia Cyrus who was a good friend of Stylez is asking her fands and friends to donate to a GoFundMe-campaign to pay for the porn star’s hospital bills and funeral costs.
»I’m really devastated about her passing but want to help her family give her an amazing funeral. There has been a lot of misinformation floating around out there. Rather than discuss the details of her passing, I hope her fans and industry friends will donate to help cover her hospital bills and funeral. Her family and I would really appreciate anything you can give, no matter how small.«
