Sex toy company Lovehoney just published a survey about music festivals. And as it turns out Lollapalooza seems to be the festival that gets the juices flowing. So at least statistical proof that sex and Rock’N’Roll really do get together.
Lovehoney’s poll asked 1,100 people about their sexual experiences during their visit at festivals. The results are interesting to every horny festival goer currently planning his or her schedule.
Sabrina Earnshaw, trades sales manager at Lovehoney said: »Music festivals bring together thousands of people to enjoy great music in an amazing atmosphere. Without a doubt, great sex and great music go hand-in-hand. Festival season is upon us and we are currently receiving lots of inquiries into our ranges of official pleasure collections with both Mötley Crüe and Motörhead. Rock on!«
The results of the survey also gave an indication of the kind of music people listen to when they want to have sex. Lovehoney found that of all the 2017 Lollapalooza acts, 10 percent of respondents want to have sex to Blink 182, followed by Lorde (8 percent), Muse (6.3 percent), The Killers (6.3 percent) and Tove Lo (4 percent).
Another interesting aspect is that only 40% of the people having sex at festivals do so with their current partner. Where, you ask? Well, in a tent. Nearly 25% got suddenly into the mood and hook up with someone they met at the festival. A One-Festival-Stand so to speak. Only 10% of the respondents said that they started a relationship with someone they met at a festival and had sex with.
While the tent option favored by existing couples might be socially acceptable there are 13% of respondents that indicated they had sex in the crowd. So maybe you shouldn’t look at the stage for the best action.
As always there are also losers. Nearly one-third of the people questioned in Lovehoney’s survey indicated that they never had sex at a music festival but that they would love to.
