If you are a hip brand and a sucker for global headlines you should go with the flow of constantly new pop-up-stores created by companies that are trying to position themselves as the next big thing. Corey Price is a man who knows a thing or two about clever marketing. He is Vice President of PornHub and part of his job is to get his statement about his company’s latest PR-stunt into the mainstream media.

This time his job was easy. PornHub just opened a concept store in Manhattan’s hip Soho district. And so in an interview with the New York Daily News, he said: »We’ve been doing a lot more in terms of apparel … and we thought that fashion would be cool to do in an actual retail pop-up shop location.«

The first store PornHub opened – it probably won’t be the last one – offers the company’s newly released line of sex toys including limited reissued garments from Pornhub’s recent sold-out capsule collection with streetwear brand Richardson.

It would not be PornHub if it wouldn’t be all in your face. The concept shop has a bed front and center positioned in front of a camera that allows visitors to stream videos from inside the shop. That is one of the many reasons why you can’t enter the store if you are under 18 years.

Price said: »People can physically interact with the brand of our products. Normally, it’s a virtual experience.«

PornHub won over pornstars Asa Akira and Dani Daniels to be at the store during the first weekend. The store is located at 70 Wooster St., New York, N.Y. 10012 and will be open until December 20.
