Lovehoney announced a new collection for plus-size models called Midnight. The brand will feature the model Ashley Alexiss as the global face for the launch of the series during this year’s Christmas season.
Lovehoney started a new lingerie line for plus-size women called Midnight. According to the company, the products will be affordable, high quality and sex. Lead designer for the project was Heather Mercer. She developed the body-positive line in-house. Before working for Lovehoney she was at Marks & Spencer and La Perla.
Moonlight tries to combine elegance with sexy features and details. From stretch satin and scallop lace to plunge bodies and babydoll sets, there will be plenty of unique products to chose from. Moonlight comes in sizes from small up to 4X.
The supersize model Ashley Alexiss will be the face for the new range being available in a variety of sizes to suit all body types. She shot to social media fame with over 1.2 million followers on Instagram and by now is featured on the cover of »Elle«. Her catchphrase: »Beauty is not a size« made her name a brand. She now models for huge international brands and launched her own swimwear line for plus size women.
Alexiss is highlighting that the range is meant to give women an ego boost. According to her, women will feel extremely sexy wearing these pieces. »It’s taken a long time. I was bullied terribly growing up for being thicker and am still made fun of to this day. But I realized that this is my body, my life and I’m not going to waste it by being miserable because I’m not society’s definition of the perfect body. The important thing is that I’m my own definition, and that’s enough for me.«
She is convinced of Midnight’s powerful effects: »Every single piece just made me feel so confident.
