The German Womanizer Group and Standard Innovation, the maker of the We-Vibe, will be combined. Womanizer bought all outstanding shares of Standard Innovation and current shareholders in Standard Innovation will get shares of the newly formed company.
The combination of the two popular sex toys Womanizer and We-Vibe will be structured as a holding company called WOW Tech Group. The headquarter will be in Berlin. The new group will keep both brands and will invest in innovation, marketing and patents for both products. The toys produced by the companies are available in 60 countries and have a global reach.
The founders of Standard Innovation, Bruce, and Melody Murison, will leave the company. They will keep their shares in the newly formed WOW though.
Womanizer’s Johannes Plettenberg commented on the merger: »The combined company brings together two of the industry’s most successful, innovative and recognized brands. We-Vibe and Womanizer have much in common.«
Frank Ferrari, a representative for Standard Innovation said: »We-Vibe and Womanizer are poised to take advantage of their complementary strengths to benefit our retail and distribution partners and consumers.«
