The well-established Porn Film Festival Berlin (PFFB) will once again offer a varied program and numerous insights into the contemporary landscape of porn. The event will take place shortly after this year’s VENUS.
The organizers of the annual Porn Film Festival Berlin (PFFB) have presented the program for the five-day event. The main focus of the festival is on alternative and queer porn films.
The opening film will be presented on Tuesday, 22 October at 20:00 in the Moviemento cinema in Kreuzberg. Madison Young’s film, produced by Erika Lust, is entitled »Unravelled Intimacies«. Performers include porn stars such as Tommy Pistol, Siouxsie Q and AnnaBelle Lee. Afterward, there will be an opportunity to party together at a club called Ficken 3000. The group Hyper Hyper will perform throughout the evening.
On Wednesday a series of short films will be presented under the title »Fun Porn«. A total of 15 films of less than 15 minutes each combine humor and pornography, a special kind of fun that demonstrates the diversity of this always innovative genre.
In addition to LGBTQ topics, BDSM and fetish aspects are also at the center of the festival makers’ interest. According to their own statements, the program ranges from psychedelic philosophies on sexuality to meta-sci-fi porn from all over the world.
In addition to the numerous films, the additional events also include discussions, workshops, and panels with filmmakers. Those who wish to take part in the workshops can choose from a diverse range of offerings. For example, there are courses on the production of audio porn, the difficulty of being adequately cared for as a sex worker in the health system, how to mix your own lubricants and an introduction to the cinematography of porn films.
The discussion rounds in the Aquarium at Kotbusser Tor will focus on the interaction between pornography and science. Among others, Jiz Lee (known for directing and genderqueer modeling) and the journalist Madita Oeming from Vice Germany will discuss this topic.
Exhibitions by international artists can also be seen in the Moviemento, the festival’s main cinema. These include photographs by Berlin-based artist Michelle Gutierrez, drawings by Suzanne Forbes (USA) and objects and performances by Cochon de Cauchemar. Some of the movies will be shown at Babylon Kreuzberg on nearby Dresdner Strasse.
The final film of the festival »The Sad Girls from the Mountains« by Candy Flip and Theo Meow will also be shown in the Moviemento on October 27. The 82-minute feature will be shown four times on the last evening at different times.
The award ceremony will also take place on the last day of the festival and this year’ s Porn Film Festival Berlin will conclude in the Monarch Bar. There you can party with the winners until late into the night.
